365 Photos a Year: Day 130: Fort Frederica National Monument

We visited the Fort Frederica National Monument while on Saint Simons Island. It was a pretty cool place with lots of history.

This is what is left of the old fort.

A longer view of the fort and canons.

I liked the cannons and the sky.

Ready for whatever was coming.

A cool sundog we saw that day. Our first one.

I loved the walkways draped in moss.

They had huge oak trees there.

 A really wide one.

What's left of the old barracks. She said it held 100 people at one time I believe.

It is a nice place to visit. If you're ever on Saint Simons Island, I recommend you stop by.
